Standing Together in Challenging Times - (May 1, 2025)

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We deeply acknowledge the current uncertainties and challenges you face as nonprofits brace for potential government funding cuts.  Your unwavering commitment to your missions amidst these trials is truly inspiring, and we are here to stand alongside you as you navigate this complex landscape.

We understand the fears surrounding budget planning, staffing, and the anxieties that ripple through your organizations—impacting morale, talent retention, and overall stability.  The demands on your leadership are immense, and the burden of ensuring our communities' well-being has never been heavier.

We also remain advocates for your call for greater flexibility in funding, specifically supporting general operating dollars that allow you to adapt and respond effectively to evolving community needs.  We hear your concerns about the perceived gaps in philanthropy’s response and are committed to amplifying the urgency and human impact of these challenges in our networks.

At the Haile Foundation, we want to assure you that our funding priorities remain steadfast.  While we acknowledge that philanthropy alone cannot bridge the gap left by diminishing government resources, we are committed to providing tangible and collaborative support.

To that end, the Haile Foundation is working with partner organizations to meet your needs.  We encourage leveraging supportive resources such as OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Leadership Council for Nonprofits and Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio.

These are undoubtedly challenging times, and your resilience, empathy and perseverance are extraordinary.  We value your commitment and remain dedicated to working with you to safeguard and sustain your critical missions.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation
